The Junior HR Operations Specialist supports the HR team in ensuring efficient and smooth HR operations within the organization. This role involves handling a variety of administrative and operational HR tasks, including employee records management, HR compliance, payroll support, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop a career in HR within an IT services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system (HRIS).
    • Assist in the preparation, updating, and filing of employee documentation, including contracts, onboarding paperwork, and performance evaluations.
    • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee information.

  • HR Administration:
    • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
    • Assist in the processing of payroll by preparing necessary documentation and resolving payroll discrepancies.
    • Coordinate the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • HR Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the preparation of HR reports, such as headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
    • Support audits and compliance checks by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

  • Employee Support:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Assist in resolving employee issues or escalating them to senior HR staff as needed.
    • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and programs that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.

  • HR Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving HR processes and suggest enhancements to streamline HR operations.
    • Participate in HR projects, such as system upgrades, policy revisions, or organizational changes.
