Senior System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with extensive knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and system monitoring to ensure the protection of our Windows and Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining system stability, ensuring security compliance, and proactively monitoring threats to protect organizational assets in an IT Product environment.

Key Responsibilities:System Administration:
  • Manage, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
  • Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.
Network Security & Protection:
  • Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Monitor network traffic to identify security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and enforce access control policies and security best practices.
  • Ensure proper encryption standards for data protection.
Monitoring & Incident Response:
  • Deploy and manage SIEM solutions for real-time security event monitoring.
  • Conduct log analysis to detect anomalies and potential security breaches.
  • Respond to and mitigate security incidents in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Maintain and improve disaster recovery and backup plans.
Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks).
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and security policies.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).
  • Proficiency in firewall management (Fortinet, Palo Alto, pfSense, etc.) and VPN setup (IPSec, OpenVPN, WireGuard).
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Graylog, etc.).
  • Knowledge of endpoint security solutions (EDR, antivirus, vulnerability scanners).
  • Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNA Security, RHCSA, or MCSA are a plus.
