Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced IBM WebSphere Commerce Developer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in WebSphere Commerce development, customizations, integration, and deployment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting e-commerce solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• WebSphere Commerce Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom WebSphere Commerce solutions to meet business needs.
• Customization and Integration: Customize WebSphere Commerce to integrate with third-party systems, including payment gateways, ERPs, and CRM systems.
• Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and apply solutions to improve site speed and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WebSphere Commerce applications, including custom code and integration issues.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing, debug issues, and work on integrating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
• Client Communication: Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and clients to understand requirements and provide timely technical solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, configurations, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS) development, including both front-end and back-end customizations.
• Languages: Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and SQL.
• WebSphere Commerce Tools: In-depth knowledge of WebSphere Commerce Server, WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, and WebSphere Commerce REST APIs.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases such as DB2, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Version Control: Proficient in using version control systems like Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
• E-commerce Experience: Strong understanding of e-commerce business processes and web-based applications.
• Performance Tuning: Expertise in performance tuning of WebSphere Commerce applications, including caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Integration Skills: Experience with integration tools such as WebSphere MQ, Web Services, REST APIs, and enterprise service bus (ESB) solutions.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
• Certifications: IBM WebSphere Commerce certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Web Technologies: Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Cloud Experience: Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
• CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
• E-commerce Frameworks: Experience with other e-commerce platforms like Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or SAP Commerce Cloud is a plus.
