Job Overview:

As an Adobe Commerce Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of e-commerce platforms using Adobe Commerce Cloud. You will collaborate with other developers, project managers, business stakeholders, and designers to build scalable, high-performance, and feature-rich online stores. A strong understanding of Magento and e-commerce best practices is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Customization: Design, develop, and deploy custom modules, themes, and integrations within Adobe Commerce Cloud.
  • E-commerce Solutions: Build and customize e-commerce features such as product catalogs, checkout processes, payment gateways, and user experience enhancements.
  • Integration: Integrate Adobe Commerce Cloud with third-party applications and APIs, including payment processors, CRMs, ERP systems, and shipping providers.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize site performance for speed, scalability, and efficiency, focusing on high-traffic environments.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve bugs, errors, and performance bottlenecks across the platform.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable code following best practices for Adobe Commerce Cloud (Magento) development.
  • Version Control & Deployment: Manage code using version control systems (Git), and participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, business analysts, and product managers, to ensure optimal platform functionality and design.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform regular platform updates, feature enhancements, and general maintenance of the Adobe Commerce Cloud environment.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for customizations, configurations, and integrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Adobe Commerce Cloud development, including both front-end and back-end development.
  • Magento Expertise: Deep knowledge of Adobe Commerce Cloud architecture, with experience in:
    • Magento 2.x development (custom modules, themes, extensions)
    • EAV (Entity-Attribute-Value) model, Magento's database structure, and configuration management
    • Admin Panel, Catalog, Checkout, and Inventory Management
  • Web Technologies: Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.
  • Magento API Integration: Hands-on experience integrating third-party systems (payment gateways, CRMs, ERP) using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Performance Tuning: Knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis, Varnish), database optimization, and code profiling to ensure high-performance websites.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Strong experience with version control tools like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Agile Development: Experience working in Agile development teams and delivering quality solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
