Building a Customer Service & Test-Drive Booking Platform for Hero MotoCorp

The Story

Our client Hero MotoCorp is an Indian multinational two-wheeler manufacturing company. The brand offers a reliable, innovative range of two-wheelers to ensure riding comfort, style, and cost-effectiveness. For more than three decades, Hero has displayed an impressive level of engineering innovations. They wanted to build a customer service app that enables vehicle owners to find nearby Hero dealerships, book bike test drives, and do more with just a few finger-taps. Hero partnered with OrangeMantra to build both iOS and Android enterprise applications with fast-paced loading.

    The company’s core objective is to become the best two-wheeler company by offering best-in-class bike maintenance and service. Hero wanted us to build a first-of-its-kind app that help customer service app. Some of the core features we needed to integrate Hero dealership search, test drive booking and vehicle information. The major challenge was to build a streamlined & fast loading application meeting client vision and next-gen capabilities. The client wanted to build an application that can attract customers across the globe. And any changes performed on server for enhancement required proper documentation.

  • The client wanted a solution to streamline the existing services and wipe off the dependency of multiple software systems.

OrangeMantra enterprise developers designed & developed a new, innovative, and scalable customer service app as per client requirements. We build an iOS & Android-based application from scratch for booking of bike test drive, bike service and locate nearby authorized dealer. Additionally, the app lets motorcycle owners find their vehicle using a registered mobile number or vehicle number. The team integrated several key features including:

  • Test Drive: Prospective bike customers can quickly book test drive before making a purchasing decision.
  • Find Your Vehicle: You may search your two-wheeler based on your registered mobile no. or VIN (vehicle identification number) or vehicle registration number.
  • Vehicle Details: Various information of your two-wheeler like registration number, last service date, next service date, last service advice.
  • Dealer Locator: You may search Hero authorized dealership and workshops based on State/City or your location.
  • Service Booking: Bike owners can book maintenance service at nearby location with the help of this app. User can select the two-wheeler type, choose their preferred workshop, and submit a service request.
  • Hero Products: User get access to detailed information about Hero products and download specifications.
  • Maintenance Tips: Maintenance schedule of hero two-wheeler is available under this section. You may select the two-wheeler for which you wish to check the schedule and plan your maintenance.
  • Connect with Hero Dealer: You can select a dealer and use his contact details to directly connect with him.
  • Gallery: Users can view media kit, Hero wallpapers, ringtones and download on their device.

OrangeMantra developed on-demand bike service mobile app from scratch for iOS and Android platforms. A successful integration of features like test drive booking, find your vehicle, bike service booking, and dealer locator and vehicle details was done. Before launching the app, Hero customers & prospects lacked any one stop solution for all their bike-related requirements. Finding a bike dealership or service center was challenging. We helped Hero to build an incredibly service process using this next-gen customer service app. Overall customer engagement & satisfaction increased dramatically within the first few months following the launch.
