As per the latest listing of the most valuable brands of the world released recently by Interbrand, Apple, Google, Microsoft and some other big giants have made it to the top for the fifth successive year. The top two positions are held by Apple (1st) and Google (2nd), for the third successive year, respectively. Not only are these two technology giants on the list, but also the huge brands, including Microsoft (4th), Samsung (7th), IBM (5th), Intel (14th), Amazon (10th), Cisco (15th), Facebook (23rd), HP (18th), PayPal (97th), Lenovo (100th), eBay (32nd) and more. The worldwide domain of technology has its one-third share, comprising 28 out of 100 mentioned on the list.

Jez Frampton, Chief Executive, Interbrand said, “Because today, business and brands need to happen at the speed of people’ s lives, this year’ s Top 100 represents those elite brands that best align with people’ s priorities and seamlessly integrate into their everyday. ”

“It is genuinely exciting to see so many leading brands across so many diverse industries increasingly embrace the role they play in influencing customer choice and building new business models in response to changing norms and testing new ideas to meet the need of shifting consumer mindsets. ” – he added.

This year, the biggest social network, Facebook, has jumped quite long, making it to the 23rd spot on the list, which was 29th spot last year. The credit goes to a significant enhancement of 54 percent in its brand value. Acquiring the 97th and 100th spot, both PayPal and Lenovo appeared for the first time on the list, becoming the second Chinese company on the list along with Huawei.

Alibaba, unfortunately, could not make it to the list this year, although it was expected to follow its last year’s great IPO.
