Building Motorcycle Maintenance Platform for Streamlined Customer Service

The Story

Our client Hero MotoCorp is an Indian multinational two-wheeler manufacturing company. The brand offers an excellent range of two-wheelers to ensure riding comfort, style, and cost-effectiveness. For more than three decades, Hero MotoCorp has displayed an impressive level of engineering characteristics. They were looking to build a customer service app that enables vehicle owners to connect with Hero dealers and service centers with just a few finger-taps. They partnered with OrangeMantra to build both iOS and Android based enterprise application with fast-paced loading. Initially, we developed a service platform aimed to bring both bike owner and service provider on the same platform.

Challenge

Being a popular two-wheeler manufacturing company. The company core objective is to become the best two-wheeler company by offering best-in-class bike maintenance & service. Hero wanted us to build a first-of-its-kind app that help bike owners to locate nearby Hero service centers and authorized dealers. The major challenge was to build a streamlined & fast loading application meeting client vision. The application needs to be developed for pan India operation and any changes performed on server for enhancement required proper documentation.

Solution

OrangeMantra enterprise developers designed & developed a new, innovative, and scalable customer service app as per client requirements. We build an iOS & Android-based application from scratch for Bike service and nearby authorized dealer locator. Additionally, the app lets motorcycle owners find their vehicle using a registered mobile number or vehicle number. The team integrated several key features including.

  • Find Your Vehicle: You may search your two-wheeler based on your registered mobile no. or VIN (vehicle identification number) or vehicle registration number.
  • Vehicle Details: Various information of your two-wheeler like registration number, last service date, next service date, last service advice.
  • Dealer Locator: You may search Hero authorized dealership and workshops based on State/City or your location.
  • Service Booking: Service booking can be done with the help of this app. User can select the two-wheeler to be serviced, select the workshop, and submit the request.
Results

OrangeMantra developed on-demand bike service mobile app from scratch for iOS and Android platform. A successful integration of features like find your vehicle, service booking, and dealer locator and vehicle details was done. Earlier it was completely offline consuming a substantial time of the bike owners to find a bike service provider. Overall client business was improved for pan-India operations and business boomed.
