Magento 2.3.5 includes 25 security-related code fixes and improvements in the Magento platform. The implement of content security policies marks the launch of a set of new security tools for Magento eCommerce development. These policies are intended to provide an extra layer of protection. The tools will detect and mitigate cross-site scripting (XSS) and other data injection attacks. Magento has also removed the sesamoid from all URLs.

3.Performance improvements 

This latest release features a new way of validating customer sections information. Now the Magento platform avoids a known issue with local storage. Such issues arise when custom sections.xml invalidations are active. Magento has also optimized Redis’s performance. 

These improvements minimize the number of queries performed on each Magento request. The Redis optimization includes a reduction in the size of network transfer data, a decrease in Redis’s consumption of CPU cycles, and race condition reduction or Redis write operations.

4.Infrastructure Improvements 

With this release, Magento has also introduced some significant improvements to its eCommerce development infrastructure. Issues related to the PayPal Pro payment method have been fixed. The payment gateway now works smoothly in the Chrome browser. Magento has also integrated a PHPStan code analysis stack into Magento static builds. The tool performs complex static code analysis and detects issues.

5.Page Builder enhancements 

Magento now offers templates for Page Builder that developers can create from existing content. The upgraded Page Builder templates save content and layout of existing pages, blocks, and production descriptions, among other elements. You can now add a video background for Page Builder Rows, Banners, and Sliders. Also, Page Builder now offers full-height Rows, Banners, and Sliders.

6. Upgraded inventory management 

The new version of Magento offers several upgrades for efficiently managing inventory on your online store. Magento now offers new extensions for SourceDataProvider and StockDataProvider. Besides, users can now view allocated inventory sources from the Orders list. These upgrades will be greatly useful in inventory management amid soaring demands triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

7.Progressive web apps studio 

The latest version of Magento features PWA Studio 6.0.0. The new PWA version introduces new features and improvements in the existing ones. Magento has launched a PWA extensibility framework that enables developers to create extensibility API for storefronts. This also allows them to add plugins and modify storefront logic.

This new version contains better caching logic and improvements in data fetching methods on Magento eCommerce stores. Magento has refactored several components to enhance cache features and protect sensitive data.
